Arrival
Elementary (kindergarten – grade 5) students arrive at school between 7:45am and 8:00am. There is no general supervision before 7:45am. Elementary attendance is taken at 8:00am. Preschool students (Pre-Nursery – NurseryII).arrive at school between 8:00am and 8:30am.
Dismissal
Students are picked up by a parent or parent-designated adult at dismissal. Parents may authorize other adults to pick up their child by adding those individuals to the student’s authorized pick-up list in FACTS. Students may leave the school premises only with authorized adult supervision. Parents and authorized adults assume full responsibility for their children upon pick up and depart the school building immediately in order to maintain a safe environment. A ten minute grace period after the designated dismissal time is granted for pick-up, after which students are escorted to the Extended Day program in their building and parents are billed accordingly.
Excused Dismissal
If a child is to be dismissed during the school day, written parental notification by email is required by 8:00am the day of dismissal. Parents are asked to try to schedule doctors and other appointments after school hours so that students do not miss valuable learning time.
After School Extended Day and Enrichment Activities
SSAES offers Extended Day programs: Preschool and Kindergarten students until 5:30pm Monday – Friday, grades 1-5 students until 5:00pm Monday – Thursday. Students not picked-up by ten minutes after the designated dismissal times will be escorted to the Extended Day program in their building and billed accordingly.
