Welcome To St. Stephen's Armenian Elementary School.

Announcement: Manoug and Me Program Starting March 4, 2024

Manoug & Me Program for children 18 months to 2.9 years old

General Guidelines

● All parents must complete the Student Online Health Questionnaire by 7:45am for each student. Students without a complete form will not be allowed entry into the school until the form has been completed. And of course, any students reporting symptoms will not be allowed entry and will need to follow the proper COVID-19 health protocol.
● To minimize the number of people on school premises, parents/guardians will not be allowed to enter either the pre-school or elementary school buildings. Parents/Guardians must wear a face mask when on school premises and at all times during drop off and pick up.
● For the foreseeable future, there will be no Late Stay or After School Enrichment Programs at either school.
● It is critical that all parents/guardians arrive on time to pick up students. We will not be mixing classrooms and cannot congregate students who have not been picked up. Teachers will remain with students until parent/guardian has arrived, but persistent lateness will be addressed by school administration.

Arrival Protocol

● Preschool Drop Off Process (Pre-Nursery through Kindergarten)
o Ensure that Student Health Questionnaire completed prior to 7:45am
o The Kindergarten class will adopt Live Drop Off with Baron Haig organizing traffic flow and social distancing protocols from 7:45-8:00am.
o The Preschool children should be dropped off at the building's main entrance, with parents/guardians lining up in order of their arrival to maintain appropriate social distancing. When parents/guardians arrive, they should text the classroom teacher to inform them of their arrival. The classroom teacher or assistant will have access to the parents’ Student Health Questionnaire submission and will meet the child at the entrance and escort him/her to the classroom. Dgn. Maral will be the backup person to oversee the drop off procedures and communicate with the classrooms if anyone needs help.
o Students dropped off beyond 9:15am will need to coordinate with their teacher to ensure entry upon arrival.

● Elementary Drop Off Process (Grades 1-5)
o Ensure that Student Health Questionnaire completed prior to 7:45am
o Live Drop Off as usual, with Baron Zareh organizing traffic flow and social distancing protocols from 7:45-8:05am.
o A designated staff member will be downstairs at ACEC at the front door verifying each student’s ability to enter the building, and will direct students to proceed directly to their classroom upon entry.
o ACEC will have signage to help students with proper flow to their classrooms.
o Students dropped off past 8:15am will need to coordinate with their teacher to ensure entry upon arrival.

Dismissal Protocol

● Preschool Dismissal Process (Pre-Nursery through Kindergarten)
o Staggered dismissal continues at assigned times for each class. Upon arrival, the parent/guardian will text the teacher and the student will be dismissed from the designated exit for each class.
o Parents/guardians should line up in order of arrival to maintain appropriate social distancing
o For first floor classrooms, second classroom exits will be used where available to assist with social distancing and overall flow of student traffic.

● Elementary Dismissal Process (Grades 1-5)
o Upon arrival, the parent/guardian will text the teacher. Elementary students will remain at their desks until the teacher receives text notification and the student is released to leave.
o Parents/guardians should line up outside of the main entrance in order of arrival to maintain appropriate social distancing
